Since 1968, Belaroma has been devoted to the complex art of bringing you not just coffee, but a great coffee 'experience'. We're committed to offering the best barista training possible. At the Belaroma Coffee Academy you will be trained by one of our qualified industry professionals. The courses have been written and developed with the aid from Scottie Callaghan who is our brand ambassador at Belaroma and one of the most respected individuals in the coffee industry not only here in Australia but around the world.

Meet the trainers!

Anna Brooker
Cert IV Trainer and Assessor: Anna has been with us at Belaroma for over 3 years now, during which she has provided incredible support for our customers both onsite and at the academy helping improve the overall quality of coffee being served in our accounts. Anna has a long resume in hospitality, most notably full time barista in Australia and New Zealand. She has managed high volume cafes and restaurants over the years and has a very broad knowledge of the industry. Anna is undoubtedly one of the best trainers in Australia. She is very passionate about her role of heading the Coffee Academy as she strives to ensure all students have a fun interactive time at the classes, leaving with as much knowledge and skills that we can pass on.

Matt Brown
Coffee geek: Coined by his work colleagues as the 'coffee encyclopedia' Matt is well researched in all aspects of coffee - from seed to cup. He has 9 years experience in the industry, from working with boutique coffee roasters to being head barista in some of the best regarded espresso bars in Sydney. Matt brings with him the latest barista techniques and equipment knowledge to ensure your espresso is the best that it can be!
